I spent some time on investigating issue when lot of our home grown zabbix agents using push interface returned connection rest by peer.
What I didn’t realize was that all the 200+ agents push data in same time. That caused TCP connection overrun socket buffer. Quite nicely it is visible on a graph at my post in the zabbix forum.
