Minecraft, the beloved sandbox game by my kids, offers endless possibilities for players to explore and create. One of the most exciting aspects of Minecraft is the vibrant modding community, which continually expands the game with new features,
mechanics, and adventures.
In some youtube video (thank you Matty Miner+) my sons saw creation of a railway and demanded me to install that mod for them.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of installing transit-railway mod using Forge, allowing you to add a whole new dimension of transportation to your Minecraft world.
Step 1: Prepare Your Minecraft Installation
Before diving into mod installation, it’s essential to ensure that your Minecraft installation is set up to support mods. This involves installing Forge, a popular modding platform for Minecraft.
Navigate to the official Forge website (https://files.minecraftforge.net/).
Download the recommended version of Forge that corresponds to your Minecraft version. Make sure to select the version that matches the version of Minecraft you’re using. Or better to say – the latest the mod supports. Run the Forge installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install Forge. Once installed, launch the Minecraft Launcher.
Step 2: Download the Minecraft Transit Railway Mod
Now that Forge is installed, it’s time to download the Minecraft Transit Railway mod.
Visit the official Minecraft Transit Railway mod page or a trusted Minecraft mod repository (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/minecraft-transit-railway).
Locate the Minecraft Transit Railway mod download for the version of Minecraft you’re using. Ensure compatibility with the version of Forge you installed.
Download the Minecraft Transit Railway mod file (usually a .jar file) to your computer.
Step 3: Install Minecraft Transit Railway Mod
With the Minecraft Transit Railway mod file downloaded, it’s time to install it into your Minecraft installation.
Open your Minecraft Launcher and make sure the Forge profile is selected.
Click on the „Mods“ tab in the launcher.
Locate the folder icon labeled „Open Mods Folder“ and click on it. This will open the mods directory.
Copy the Minecraft Transit Railway mod file you downloaded earlier into the mods folder.
Close the mods folder and return to the Minecraft Launcher.
Launch Minecraft using the Forge profile.
